About the manor house

The manor house of the property is located just below the highest point of the estate, with amazing views over the entire property and into the vast plains and cork forests of the Alentejo. The main house is a large and beautiful U-shaped building, fully equipped and well maintained. It is further surrounded by gorgeous gardens, fruit orchards, an infinity pool with pool house, garages, and sheds for storage. Directly adjacent is a guest house with 2 bedrooms, bathroom, living room and kitchen. This guest house could also be used by caretakers. The manor house has a separate entrance from the road, providing total privacy from the farm. Through the U shape of the building, the indoor and outdoor living areas are directly connected with each other. The courtyard garden offers plenty of shade whilst enjoying the sun and there are wonderful views from the various terraces. The manor house is surrounded by a beautiful garden and old trees. The outside fireplace and kitchen provide the opportunity to enjoy long balmy evenings during much of the year. From the large infinity pool, you have an amazing view over the entire property and the distant landscapes. Being heated means you can use the pool for much of the year. The infinity pool is sufficiently distanced from the house and courtyard to ensure privacy in both places. The spacious marble entrance provides access to a guest toilet and the living room. About the propriety

This propriety is one of the largest dairy farms in Portugal. Located at the lower part of the estate, the farm has its own entrance. The distance between the farm and the manor house mean that these are essentially separate estates. Privacy at the manor house is guaranteed. The farm has around 950 milking cows and 1,750 cows, heifers and calves in total. The farm offers employment to 30 people, mostly from the region, and is professionally run by an experienced Portuguese manager. The farm is largely self-sufficient in terms of raw feed for the cattle. The farm produces its own grass and much of them required maize under its own installed pivot irrigation systems covering 55 hectares. The property has several water sources to fulfil the requirements. Water from deep wells supply the houses, buildings and the cattle, while water from several of its own water reservoirs and from the Divor lake irrigate the land through the pivot systems for the production of grass and maize.
